Courts are in Battle Creek
Calhoun County’s courts sit at the Justice Center in Battle Creek rather than in Marshall, the county seat.
PROCESS SERVER · MICHIGAN
Battle Creek is Calhoun County’s largest city and Marshall is the county seat. Albion, Homer, and the townships around them are smaller towns and farmland.
Even though Marshall is the county seat, the 37th Circuit Court, the 10th District Court, and the Probate Court are at the Mary S. Coleman Justice Center in Battle Creek. We serve the people in those cases, and in cases from any other Michigan court, throughout the county.

WHERE WE SERVE
COURTS
Filing in a court outside this list? We can still serve a defendant who lives or works here. Service follows the person, not the court.
LOCAL DETAILS
Calhoun County’s courts sit at the Justice Center in Battle Creek rather than in Marshall, the county seat.
If you know the person’s employer or shift, share it so the attempts can be planned around when they’re likely to be home.
Around Homer, Tekonsha, and Athens, homes can be far apart on country roads. Directions or a description of the property save time.
